Apostle Dr. Sherry C. Wilson is the Founder and Lead Counselor of Deep Wells Counseling & Biblical Mentoring, LLC, a faith-based counseling and mentoring practice dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges, explore the deeper issues of the heart, and pursue emotional, spiritual, and personal restoration. A servant first, Sherry brings together biblical principles, years of ministry experience, an understanding of human behavior, and trauma-informed perspectives to support individuals on their journey toward healing, wholeness, and growth.
With more than 17 years of ministry and leadership experience encompassing pastoral care, teaching, mentorship, spiritual formation, and personal restoration, Apostle Wilson recognizes that the struggles people experience often extend beyond what is immediately visible. Her counseling philosophy is rooted in Proverbs 20:5: “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out.” This foundational scripture reflects the heart of Deep Wells Counseling: helping individuals explore underlying concerns, gain greater self-awareness, identify barriers to growth, and develop practical pathways toward meaningful change.
Sherry earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Walden University, graduating summa cum laude. She also holds a ministerial bachelor's degree from Reach for the World School of the Fivefold Ministry, with studies encompassing pastoral ministry, prophetic ministry, and biblical counseling. In recognition of her service and professional commitment to human development, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Human Services from the School of the Great Commission Bible Institute. She is currently completing her Master of Divinity at Regent University, concentrating in Trauma and Disaster Counseling, further strengthening her understanding of trauma, human behavior, and the needs of individuals and communities navigating difficult life experiences.
As Founder and Lead Counselor, Apostle Wilson is committed to an approach that thoughtfully integrates biblical truth, spiritual discernment, counseling principles, and trauma-informed care. Her work emphasizes the importance of creating a supportive environment where individuals can explore life experiences, strengthen personal insight, establish healthy goals, and pursue restoration without losing sight of their faith and values.
Beyond her work with individuals, Sherry is frequently sought to facilitate trauma-informed workshops and training for faith-based organizations and community-engaged organizations. Through these initiatives, she equips leaders and community partners with practical knowledge to better understand trauma, respond with compassion, recognize when additional professional support may be needed, and foster healthier, more supportive environments.
Apostle Wilson also serves as the Founder and President of United Wells of Rehoboth, a 501(c)(3) faith-based public charity committed to helping individuals, families, and communities flourish through three foundational pillars: Mental Health & Wellness, Food Scarcity, and Prevention of Gun Violence. Her community leadership complements her counseling mission by extending care beyond the individual and addressing needs that affect the well-being of families and communities.
